BRAWN FORMESTANE is primarily an antiestrogenic agent which, when used appropriately, may exhibit some anabolic potential. 4-hydroxyandrostenedione (formestane) is the first selective steroidal type I aromatase inhibitor (AI). Due to the 4-hydroxyl group, it permanently binds with aromatase, irreversibly blocking its activity, leading to a reduction in estrogen levels and an increase in free testosterone.
